Smart performance of spill fill data transfers in computing environments

A method comprising:

• dividing a kernel into regions including low pressure regions and high pressure regions, wherein the low pressure regions are associated with low use of registers hosted by a processor of a computing device, while the high pressure regions are associated with high use of the registers;
• and
• transferring of data between memory and the registers based on at least one of the low pressure regions and the high pressure regions.

At least one machine-readable storage medium comprising a plurality of instructions, executed on a computing device, to facilitate the computing device to perform operations comprising:

• dividing a kernel into regions including low pressure regions and high pressure regions, wherein the low pressure regions are associated with low use of registers hosted by a processor of the computing device, while the high pressure regions are associated with high use of the registers;
• and
• transferring of data between memory and the registers based on at least one of the low pressure regions and the high pressure regions.
