Abstract
A computer-implemented method including defining a simulated object as being attached to an anchor point of a simulated motion control user interface device representative of a physical motion control user interface device, moving the simulated object in a first direction with the simulated motion control user interface device in response to a change in an orientation of the physical motion control user interface device, and moving the simulated object in a second direction in response to a command input using a command interface of the physical motion control user interface device.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method comprising:
- defining a simulated object as being attached to an anchor point of a simulated motion control user interface device representative of a physical motion control user interface device;
- moving the simulated object in a first direction in which movement the simulated object with the simulated motion control user interface device in response to a change in an orientation of the physical motion control user interface device;
- and
- moving the simulated object in a second direction in response to a command input using a command interface of the physical motion control user interface device.
A system comprising:
- a physical motion control user interface device;
- and
- a computing device in electrical communication with the physical motion control user interface device and comprising at least one processor and a memory, the memory comprising program instructions executable by the at least one processor to:
- define a simulated object as being attached to an anchor point of a simulated motion control user interface device representative of the physical motion control user interface device;
- responsive to a change in an orientation of the physical motion control user interface device, move the simulated object in a first direction;
- and
- responsive to receiving a command input with a command interface of the physical motion control user interface device, moving the simulated object in a second direction.
A computer-readable program product comprising program code, which when executed by a processor, causes an apparatus to perform:
- defining a simulated object as being attached to an anchor point of a simulated motion control user interface device representative of a physical motion control user interface device;
- moving the simulated object in a first direction in which movement the simulated object with the simulated motion control user interface device in response to a change in an orientation of the physical motion control user interface device;
- and
- moving the simulated object in a second direction in response to a command input using a command interface of the physical motion control user interface device.
