Thermoplastic polyester resin composition and molded article

A thermoplastic polyester resin composition comprising (A) 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polyester resin, (B) 0.05 to 5 parts by weight of a novolac type epoxy resin represented by general formula (1), and (C) 0.05 to 10 parts by weight of an epoxy compound in which number of epoxy functional groups per molecule is two:

• wherein, in general formula (1), X represents a bivalent group represented by general formula (2) or (3);
• in general formulae (1) and (3), R1, R2, R4, and R5 independently represent C1-C8 alkyl, or C6-C10 aryl and may be the same or different;
• R3 represents a hydrogen atom, C1-C8 alkyl or C6-C10 aryl;
• in general formula (1), n represents a value of 2 or more and equal to or smaller than 10;
• and, in general formulae (1) and (3), a, c, and d independently represent an integer from 0 to 4, and b represents an integer from 0 to 3.
