Abstract
Disclosed herein is a process for preparing nicotinamide riboside (NR) from an NR precursor and a phosphate-binding agent in a solvent. The reaction-derived mixture comprising NR may be further used without further processing in a variety of products, particularly in a cosmetic product.
Claims18
1) A process for preparing nicotinamide riboside (NR), comprising combining an NR precursor selected from β-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+), β-nicotinamide mononucleotide, and a mixture thereof, with a phosphate-binding agent in a solvent.
13) An aqueous composition comprising reaction-derived mixture of NR, and at least one of NAD+and one or more of the primary, secondary and tertiary hydrolysis-degradation products of NAD+.
16) A cosmetic preparation comprising nicotinamide riboside, and at least one of NAD+ or β-nicotinamide mononucleotide or at least one degradation product thereof, and further comprising a water-soluble salt of a phosphate-binding agent, and/or a water-insoluble phosphate salt of said phosphate-binding agent.
18) A process of producing cosmetic preparation comprising combining an NR precursor selected from β-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+), β-nicotinamide mononucleotide, and a combination thereof, with a phosphate-binding agent in a solvent under heating, and incorporating the obtained mixture into a cosmetic preparation.
