Manual release safety system and method

A method of releasing a locking mechanism, comprising:

• a shaft component of a quick release safety pin receiving pressure;
• the quick release safety pin, based on the shaft component receiving the pressure, causing release of a swing arm from a secure position;
• and
• the swing arm, based on sideways movement enabled by release from the secure position, causing an attached rod to release a locking mechanism,
• wherein the locking mechanism, when in an unreleased state, maintains at least one of a panel, a window, and a door in a closed state.

A quick release safety pin, comprising:

• a shaft;
• a spring encircling an upper end of the shaft;
• and
• a jacket into which a lower end of the shaft protrudes,
• wherein downward pressure on the upper end of the shaft against resistance of the spring releases a swing arm, and
• wherein movement of the swing arm enables a locking mechanism to release.
