Abstract
Provided herein are methods of generating a biologically effective unipolar nanosecond electric pulse by superposing two biologically ineffective bipolar nanosecond electric pulses and related aspects, such as electroporation and/or therapeutic applications of these methods to non-invasively target electrostimulation (ES) selectively to deep tissues and organs.
Claims22
A method of generating a biologically effective unipolar nanosecond electric pulse, the method comprising superposing a first biologically ineffective bipolar nanosecond electric pulse generated from a first stimuli and a second biologically ineffective bipolar nanosecond electric pulse generated from a second stimuli to create the biologically effective unipolar nanosecond electric pulse at a location remote from the first and second stimuli.
(canceled)
A method of generating a monopolar nanosecond electric pulse (nsEP), the method comprising superposing at least a first nsEP generated from at least a first nsEP-delivering channel and at least a second nsEP generated from at least a second nsEP-delivering channel to create the monopolar nsEP at a location remote from the first and second channels.
A system, comprising:
- at least one pulse generator configured to produce at least a first nanosecond electric pulse (nsEP) from at least a first nsEP-delivering channel and at least a second nsEP from at least a second nsEP-delivering channel,
- wherein the at least the first nsEP and the at least the second nsEP superposed to create a monopolar nsEP at a location remote from the first and second channels;
- and,
- at least one power supply operably connected to the at least one pulse generator.
