Abstract

Described are a method for producing cellulose fibers suitable for use in a thickening composition, a method for producing a thickening composition that contains the cellulose fibers, and a method for thickening a composition. The method for producing the cellulose fibers includes grinding a composition containing cellulose fibers and an aqueous solution to produce a dispersion containing cellulose fibers having an average fiber diameter (D) in a range of from 0.001 to 100 μm in the aqueous solution.
