A method for controlling Wi-Fi channels, the method comprising:
- in response to identifying an application to be executed, identifying, by an electronic device, available Wi-Fi channels to use for sending and receiving data for the application;
- and
- identifying, by the electronic device, which one of the available Wi-Fi channels to use for sending and receiving the data for the application based on preset mappings between applications and the available Wi-Fi channels.
An electronic device comprising:
- a memory electrically connected to at least one processor;
- and
- the at least one processor configured to:
- in response to identifying an application to be executed, identify, by an electronic device, available Wi-Fi channels to use for sending and receiving data for the application;
- and
- identify, by the electronic device, which one of the available Wi-Fi channels to use for sending and receiving the data for the application based on preset mappings between applications and the available Wi-Fi channels.
A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions, that when executed by at least one processor of an electronic device, cause the electronic device to:
- identify, in response to identifying an application to be executed, available Wi-Fi channels to use for sending and receiving data for the application;
- and
- identify which one of the available Wi-Fi channels to use for sending and receiving the data for the application based on preset mappings between applications and the available Wi-Fi channels.
