Abstract
According to one embodiment, a method includes: receiving an incoming phone call on a mobile phone device, determining a phone number from which the incoming phone call originated, accessing a remote site for determining a name associated with the phone number, accessing the remote site for determining additional information associated with the phone number, and outputting the name and additional information associated with phone number from which the incoming phone call originated on the mobile phone device. Other methods, systems, and computer program products for determining a name associated with an incoming phone call are also described.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- receiving an incoming phone call on a mobile phone device;
- determining a phone number from which the incoming phone call originated;
- accessing a remote site for determining a name associated with the phone number;
- accessing the remote site for determining additional information associated with the phone number;
- and
- outputting the name and additional information associated with phone number from which the incoming phone call originated on the mobile phone device.
A system, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- logic integrated with the processor, executable by the processor, or integrated with and executable by the processor, to cause the processor to:
- receive an incoming phone call on a mobile phone device;
- determine a phone number from which the incoming phone call originated;
- access a remote site for determining a name associated with the phone number;
- access the remote site for determining additional information associated with the phone number from which the incoming phone call originated;
- and
- output the name and additional information associated with the phone number from which the incoming phone call originated on the mobile phone device.
A computer program, comprising:
- a non-transitory computer readable storage medium having computer program code embodied therewith, wherein the computer program code is readable by a processor, executable by the processor, or readable and executable by the processor, to cause the processor to:
- receive an incoming phone call on a mobile phone device;
- determine a phone number from which the incoming phone call originated;
- access a remote site for determining a name associated with the phone number;
- access the remote site for determining additional information associated with the phone number from which the incoming phone call originated;
- and
- output the name and additional information associated with the phone number from which the incoming phone call originated on the mobile phone device.
