Abstract
A bipolar junction transistor preferably includes: an emitter region; a base region; and a collector region, in which an edge of the emitter region is aligned with an edge of the base region. Preferably, an edge of the base region is aligned with an edge of the collector region, the edge of the emitter region is aligned with the edges of the base region and the collector region, and the widths of the emitter region, the base region, and the collector region are equivalent. According to a top view of the bipolar junction transistor, each of the base region and the collector region includes a rectangle.

A bipolar junction transistor, comprising:
- an emitter region;
- a base region comprising a first base region and a second base region, each of the first base region and the second base region comprises a short side and a long side, and the first base region is above the emitter region and the second base region is below the emitter region in a vertical direction extending along the short sides of the first base region and the second base region;
- and
- a collector region comprising a first collector region above the first base region and a second collector region below the second base region in the vertical direction, each of the first collector region and the second collector region comprises a short side and a long side, wherein an edge of the emitter region is aligned with an edge of the first base region, an edge of the second base region, an edge of the first collector region, and an edge of the second collector region, and the short side of the first base region is less than the short side of the first collector region.
A bipolar junction transistor, comprising:
- an emitter region;
- a base region;
- and
- a collector region, wherein each of the emitter region, the base region, and the collector region comprises fin-shaped structures.
