Abstract
An approach is provided that determines that a wearable electronic device is in a misplaced condition. In response to determining that the wearable electronic device is in a misplaced condition, the approach transmits an alert regarding the misplaced condition.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- determining that a wearable electronic device is in a misplaced condition, wherein the determining includes detecting that the wearable electronic device is stationary for at least a predetermined amount of time;
- and
- transmitting an electronic alert regarding the misplaced condition, wherein the electronic alert includes displaying a visible light beacon at the wearable electronic device.

A wearable electronic device comprising:
- a device body;
- one or more processors within the device body;
- a memory coupled to at least one of the processors and also within the device body;
- a power supply within the device power that supplies power to the processors;
- and
- a set of instructions stored in the memory and executable by at least one of the processors to:
- determine that a wearable electronic device is in a misplaced condition. wherein the determination includes a detection that the wearable electronic device is stationary for at least a predetermined amount of time;
- and
- transmit an alert regarding the misplaced condition, wherein the alert includes displaying a visible light beacon at the wearable electronic device.

A computer program product comprising:
- a tangible non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising a set of computer instructions, the computer instructions effective to:
- determine that a wearable electronic device is in a misplaced condition, wherein the determination includes a detection that the wearable electronic device is stationary for at least a predetermined amount of time;
- and
- transmit an alert regarding the misplaced condition, wherein the alert includes displaying a visible light beacon at the wearable electronic device.
