An article use control device provided on the article side, comprising:

• a communication device for implementing communication;
• a memory for storing instructions;
• a processor for being controlled by the instructions stored in the memory to operate to implement an article use control method, wherein, the method comprises:
• providing an article in an available state, the article having a unique article identifier;
• when detecting an event that the article is used by a user, starting up a timer to count down to wait for an article use authentication result based on the article identifier and a user identifier of the user;
• wherein the article use authentication result is obtained by performing article use authentication based on the article identifier and the user identifier of the user who uses the article corresponding to the article identifier, the user identifier uniquely identifying the user;
• and
• when the article use authentication result is not acquired or the authentication is failed before the countdown ends, setting the article to change from the available state to a disabled state.
