Running test scripts in multiple language platforms

A system of running a test script in multiple language platforms, comprising:

• a client device comprising an application to be tested with an automation test script (TAS);
• a language resource provider plugin (LRPP) configurable to retrieve language metadata used by the TAS and replace the language metadata in the TAS with a language neutral identifier (LNI);
• a test automation engine (TAE) configurable to run the TAS on the application in a first language and in a second language;
• and
• a TAS library comprising the TAS.

A method of running a test script in multiple language platforms, comprising:

• receiving a trigger to initiate a test on an application, in a first language, using an automation test script (TAS);
• recording the access path to language specific data associated with the TAS;
• formalizing the access path to a language neutral identifier (LNI);
• and
• writing the LNI to the TAS.
