Abstract
A communication node in a vehicle network may comprise a medium access control (MAC) layer; a physical (PHY) layer; a first port connected to the PHY layer; a second port connected to the PHY layer; and a switch controlling a connection between the first port and the second port. The switch may turn on or off the connection between the first port and the second port under control of the MAC layer.
Claims20
A communication node in a vehicle network comprising:
- a medium access control (MAC) layer;
- a physical (PHY) layer;
- a first port connected to the PHY layer;
- a second port connected to the PHY layer;
- and
- a switch controlling a connection between the first port and the second port,
- wherein the switch turns on or off the connection between the first port and the second port under control of the MAC layer.
An operation method of a first communication node including a medium access control (MAC) layer, a physical (PHY) layer, a first port connected to the PHY layer, and a second port connected to the PHY layer, the operation method comprising:
- receiving, by the first port, a signal from a second communication node;
- when the first communication node is in a sleep mode, transferring the signal received by the first port to the second port by electrically connecting the first port and the second port through a switch controlling a connection between the first port and the second port;
- and
- transferring, by the second port, the signal transferred from the first port to a third communication node connected to the second port.
