Abstract
Disclosed is an unbonded flexible pipe for subsea transportation of fluids. The pipe has a length and a centre axis and includes a plurality of layers including at least one polypropylene based layer including a modified polypropylene compound including: at least about 50% by weight of a base polypropylene (base PP) which consists of polypropylene including up to about 10% by weight of one or more co-monomers other than propylene, and at least about 1% by weight of a plastomer including a propylene and at least one co-monomer other than propylene.

An unbonded flexible pipe for subsea transportation of fluids, the pipe has a length and a centre axis and comprises a plurality of layers comprising at least one polypropylene based layer comprising a modified polypropylene compound comprising:
- at least about 50% by weight of a base polypropylene (base PP) which consists of polypropylene comprising up to about 10% by weight of one or more co-monomers other than propylene, and
- at least about 1% by weight of a plastomer comprising a propylene and at least one co-monomer other than propylene.
The flexible pipe of claim 1, wherein said plastomer is a propylene based plastomer comprising ethylene comonomer, preferably said plastomer comprises at least about 3% by weight of ethylene comonomer, such as from about 5% by weight to about 30% by weight of ethylene comonomer, such as from about 10% by weight to about 20% by weight of ethylene comonomer.
