Update management apparatus of industry control system, apparatus and method for update verification

A method for verifying an update of a control system, performed by an apparatus for verifying an update of the control system, comprising:

• classifying one or more update files, input in order to update a program corresponding to a control device of the control system, into any one file type of a firmware file, a patch file, and another type of file;
• verifying integrity of the classified update files;
• and
• generating a final update file from the update files, the integrity of which has been verified.

An apparatus for managing an update of a control system, comprising:

• a file classification management unit for receiving a result of classification of an update file from an update verification apparatus of the control system and storing the result;
• an RDS management unit for collecting and storing a Reference Data Set (RDS) corresponding to the update file;
• and
• a patch history management unit for determining whether at least one of the update file and a program corresponding to a control device of the control system is a latest version and outputting an update notification message when it is determined that at least one of the program and the update file is not the latest version.
