Abstract
A user equipment (UE) may receive, on a broadcast channel, indicator bits related to a High Speed Downlink Shared Channel (HS-DSCH) channelization code. The UE may receive, on a paging indicator channel, an indication that the HS-DSCH channelization code is to be used in a subsequent time interval to receive control information. In response to the reception of the indication, the UE may receive the control information with an associated UE identification.
Claims8
A Node B comprising:
- a transmitter configured to broadcast, to a user equipment (UE), indicator bits related to a High Speed Downlink Shared Channel (HS-DSCH) channelization code;
- the transmitter is further configured to send, on a paging indicator channel, an indication that the HS-DSCH channelization code is to be used in a subsequent time interval to send control information to the UE;
- wherein paging information for a communication with the UE is not sent by the Node B on a paging transport;
- and
- a processor configured, in response to the sent indication, to send the control information with an associated UE identification.
A user equipment (UE) comprising:
- a receiver configured to receive, on a broadcast channel, indicator bits related to a High Speed Downlink Shared Channel (HS-DSCH) channelization code;
- the receiver is further configured to receive, on a paging indicator channel, an indication that the HS-DSCH channelization code is to be used in a subsequent time interval to receive control information;
- wherein paging information for a communication is not received on a paging transport channel;
- and
- a processor configured, in response to the reception of the indication, to receive the control information with an associated UE identification.
A method performed by a Node B, the method comprising:
- broadcasting, to a user equipment (UE), indicator bits related to a High Speed Downlink Shared Channel (HS-DSCH) channelization code;
- sending, by the Node B on a paging indicator channel, an indication that the HS-DSCH channelization code is to be used in a subsequent time interval to send control information to the UE;
- wherein paging information for a communication with the UE is not sent on a paging transport channel;
- and
- sending, by the Node B in response to the sending of the indication, the control information with an associated UE identification.
A method performed by a user equipment (UE), the method comprising:
- receiving, on a broadcast channel, indicator bits related to a High Speed Downlink Shared Channel (HS-DSCH) channelization code;
- receiving, on a paging indicator channel, an indication that the HS-DSCH channelization code is to be used in a subsequent time interval to receive control information;
- wherein paging information for a communication is not received on a paging transport channel;
- and
- receiving, in response to the receiving of the indication, the control information with an associated UE identification.
