Cellular Device SIM Multiplexor and Control Interface

A method for maximizing network characteristics of a portable computer communication device by multiplexing multiple SIM cards into a single device comprising:

• (a) using a portable computing communication device wherein said portable computing communication device comprises:
• (1) a data processor, a long-range wireless communication system, memory, and at least one SIM card slot;
• (2) a control interface for communicating with a plurality of SIM cards including activating, deactivating, monitoring, and selecting from among said plurality of SIM cards based on the networking characteristics of each individual network for said plurality of SIM cards;
• (3) said host interface adapted to interface with the said SIM card slot of said portable computing communication device and for communicating with said control interface;
• (4) a plurality of SIM sockets, at least one of said plurality of SIM sockets being in electronic communication with said control interface;
• (5) software for managing the operation of said control interface and providing said portable computing communication device with information and controls relating to said plurality of SIM cards;
• (b) using said control interface to manually, automatically, or manually and automatically manage said plurality of SIM sockets;
• and
• (c) enabling an objective relative to said portable computing communication device or to the network characteristics associated with said portable computing communication device, said objective including one or more of the following:
• (i) increasing network connectivity;
• (ii) reducing network costs;
• (iii) increasing accuracy of network communication;
• (iv) decreasing time required to respond to network;
• and
• (v) reducing network errors.
