Provided are a terminal and a terminal call soft switching method. The method includes the following steps: when a terminal sends an INVITE message to a first server to which the terminal is registered at current but receives no response, the terminal retransmits the INVITE message to the first server according to a retransmission interval; when a number of retransmission times for the INVITE message is greater than a preset value and no response has been received from the first server, the terminal sends a register message to a second server; and after the terminal is registered to the second server, the terminal sends the INVITE message to the second server.
