Smart notification scheduling and modality selection

A system, comprising;

• a memory;
• and
• a processor operatively coupled to the memory, the processor being configured to perform operations comprising:
• identifying a notification associated with an application;
• in response to receiving the notification, extracting context pertaining to the notification or a user of a client device;
• determining a priority for the notification based on the context;
• determining a delivery schedule for the notification based on the priority;
• determining a notification delivery plan based on at least one of the context, priority or delivery schedule;
• and
• transmitting the notification to a display device.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium having encoded therein programming code executable by a processor to perform or control performance of operations comprising:

• identifying a notification;
• in response to receiving the notification, extracting context pertaining to the notification or a user of a client device;
• determining a priority for the notification based on the context;
• determining a delivery schedule for the notification based on the priority;
• determining a notification delivery plan based on at least one of the context, priority or delivery schedule;
• and
• transmitting the notification to a display device.
