Method and apparatus for dispatching a channel quality indicator feedback in multicarrier system

A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), the method comprising:

• determining respective channel state information reports for a plurality of downlink carriers to be conveyed on a plurality of uplink carriers in a subframe;
• determining whether the UE is power limited for the subframe;
• and
• based at least in part on the determining whether the UE is power limited for the subframe, transmitting the respective channel state information reports on the plurality of uplink carriers in the subframe, dropping the respective channel state information reports for the plurality of downlink carriers in the subframe, or transmitting the respective channel state information reports on a subset of the plurality of uplink carriers in the subframe.

An apparatus for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), comprising:

• at least one processor;
• a memory coupled with the processor, the memory comprising instructions which, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to:
• determine respective channel state information reports for a plurality of downlink carriers to be conveyed on a plurality of uplink carriers in a subframe;
• determine whether the UE is power limited for the subframe;
• and
• based at least in part on the determining whether the UE is power limited for the subframe, transmit the respective channel state information reports on the plurality of uplink carriers in the subframe, drop the respective channel state information reports for the plurality of downlink carriers in the subframe, or transmit the respective channel state information reports on a subset of the plurality of uplink carriers in the subframe.

An apparatus for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), comprising:

• means for determining respective channel state information reports for a plurality of downlink carriers to be conveyed on a plurality of uplink carriers in a subframe;
• means for determining whether the UE is power limited for the subframe;
• and
• means for transmitting the respective channel state information reports for the plurality of downlink carriers in the subframe, wherein the means for transmitting, based at least in part on whether the UE is power limited for the subframe, transmits the respective channel state information reports on the plurality of uplink carriers in the subframe, drops the respective channel state information reports for the plurality of downlink carriers in the subframe, or transmits the respective channel state information reports on a subset of the plurality of uplink carriers in the subframe.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), the non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising code which, when executed by at least one processor, causes the UE to:

• determine respective channel state information reports for a plurality of downlink carriers to be conveyed on a plurality of uplink carriers in a subframe;
• determine whether the UE is power limited for the subframe;
• and
• based at least in part on the determining whether the UE is power limited for the subframe, transmit the respective channel state information reports on the plurality of uplink carriers in the subframe, drop the respective channel state information reports for the plurality of downlink carriers in the subframe, or transmit the respective channel state information reports on a subset of the plurality of uplink carriers in the subframe.
