Connector

A connector, comprising:

• a housing (10) with opposite front and rear ends and configured to be connected to a mating housing from the front, the housing (10) including an accommodating recess (23) in a rear surface and a lock receiving portion (27) on a peripheral wall (24) of the accommodating recess (23);
• a lever (90) configured to connect the housing (10) and the mating housing by being rotated relative to the housing (10);
• a mat seal (40) in the form of a resilient plate arranged to face a back surface of the accommodating recess (23);
• a mat seal cover (50) configured to restrict the detachment of the mat seal (40) from the accommodating recess (23) by being locked to the housing (10) with the mat seal (40) sandwiched between the mat seal cover (50) and the back surface of the accommodating recess (23);
• and
• a wire cover (70) arranged to cover a rear surface of the mat seal cover (50) and including a lock (78) to be locked to the lock receiving portion (27);
• wherein:
• the lock receiving portion (27) is arranged at a position corresponding to the lever (90) covering an outer surface side of the peripheral wall (24) of the accommodating recess (23) and the lock (78) is locked to the lock receiving portion (27) from an inner surface side of the peripheral wall (24) of the accommodating recess (23);
• and
• the mat seal cover (50) has an assembling detection surface (55), the lock (78) moving toward the lock receiving portion (27) coming into contact with the assembling detection surface (55) when the mat seal cover (50) is in a semi-assembled state without being locked to the housing (10).
