Abstract
A method for designing a system on a target device includes identifying components in a netlist that perform a division operation. The netlist is modified during synthesis to utilize other components to compute a result of the division operation by performing a multiplication operation.

A method for designing a system on a target device, comprising:
- identifying components in the system that perform a division operation from a netlist of the system;
- and
- modifying the netlist of the system during synthesis to utilize other components to compute a result of the division operation by performing a multiplication operation.
A non-transitory computer readable medium including a sequence of instructions stored thereon for causing a computer to execute a method for designing a system on a target device, comprising:
- identifying components in a system that perform a division operation from a netlist of the system;
- identifying other components to use for computing a result of the division operation by performing a multiplication operation;
- and
- presenting a user with an option of utilizing the components or the other components for the system.
