Abstract
Implementations of the present disclosure include methods, systems, and computer-readable storage mediums for determining that an object implicated in an executing application is to be allocated to memory in an in-memory system, determining a type of the object, and allocating the object to one of a first size of virtual memory page and a second size of virtual memory page of an operating system based on the type of the object.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method executed by one or more processors, the method comprising:
- determining, by the one or more processors, that an object implicated in an executing application is to be allocated to memory in an in-memory system;
- determining, by the one or more processors, a type of the object;
- and
- allocating, by the one or more processors, the object to one of a first size of virtual memory page and a second size of virtual memory page of an operating system based on the type of the object.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium coupled to one or more processors and having instructions stored thereon which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
- determining that an object implicated in an executing application is to be allocated to memory in an in-memory system;
- determining a type of the object;
- and
- allocating the object to one of a first size of virtual memory page and a second size of virtual memory page of an operating system based on the type of the object.
A system, comprising:
- a computing device;
- and
- a computer-readable storage device coupled to the computing device and having instructions stored thereon which, when executed by the computing device, cause the computing device to perform operations comprising:
- determining that an object implicated in an executing application is to be allocated to memory in an in-memory system;
- determining a type of the object;
- and
- allocating the object to one of a first size of virtual memory page and a second size of virtual memory page of an operating system based on the type of the object.
