User interface systems and methods for manipulating and viewing digital documents

An apparatus comprising:

• memory to store a specified application;
• communication circuitry;
• a touch screen;
• and
• a processor adapted to:
• execute the specified application, the executing including displaying a user interface corresponding to the specified application on the touch screen;
• obtain, using the communication circuitry, first content including a link address from an external device via the specified application;
• display, via the user interface on the touch screen, at least part of the first content as part of a first window;
• display, via the user interface on the touch screen, at least part of second content corresponding to the link address as part of a second window concurrently with the first window;
• receive an input with respect to the second window displayed via the user interface;
• and
• display, on the touch screen, at least another part of the second content corresponding to the link address in response to the receiving of the input.

An apparatus comprising:

• memory to store a specified application;
• a touch screen;
• and
• a processor adapted to:
• execute the specified application, the executing including displaying a user interface corresponding to the specified application on the touch screen;
• display, via the user interface on the touch screen, at least part of first content including a link address as part of a first window;
• display, via the user interface on the touch screen, at least part of second content corresponding to the link address as part of a second window concurrently with the first window;
• receive an input with respect to the second window displayed via the user interface;
• and
• display, on the touch screen, at least another part of the second content corresponding to the link address in response to the receiving of the input.

A non-transitory machine-readable storage device storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

• executing, at an electronic device including memory, and a touch screen, the specified application, the executing including displaying a user interface corresponding to the specified application on the touch screen;
• displaying, via the user interface on the touch screen, at least part of first content including a link address as part of a first window;
• displaying, via the user interface on the touch screen, at least part of second content corresponding to the link address as part of a second window concurrently with the first window;
• receiving an input with respect to the second window displayed via the user interface;
• and
• displaying, on the touch screen, at least another part of the second content corresponding to the link address in response to the receiving of the input.
