An event information presentation method by a terminal, the method comprising:

collecting event information;
presenting at least one of the collected event information, according to a current operation mode;
determining whether the terminal is in a sleep mode;
and
restricting, when the terminal is in the sleep mode, presentation of the at least one of the event information.
