Abstract

[Task] To provide an automatic ice maker with improved corrosion resistance to prevent ice-making water and ice from being contaminated by a corrosion product such as rust, thereby enhancing the reliability of food sanitation. [Means for solution] The automatic ice maker produces ice having a required shape by supplying ice-making water in circulation to an ice compartment 10 that is cooled by a cooling pipe 48. The automatic ice maker has an electroless nickel-phosphorus plated coating 23 formed in a thickness of 15 μm or more on an outermost layer of the ice compartment 10, which coating 23 contains a 10% to 15% phosphorus component.

An automatic ice maker for producing ice having a required shape by supplying ice-making water in circulation to an ice compartment (10) that is cooled by an evaporator (48), characterized in that

an electroless nickel-phosphorus plated coating (23) containing a 10% to 15% phosphorus component is formed in a thickness of 15 μm or more on an outermost layer of the ice compartment (10).

An automatic ice maker comprising:

an ice compartment (10) having a plurality of small ice compartments (12) defined by disposing a partition member (30) formed by assembling a plurality of horizontal partition plates (30a) and vertical partition plates (30b) in a lattice shape to an outer frame (14) including a top plate (16) and side plates (18), the small ice compartments (12) being open downward;
an evaporator (48) disposed on the top plate (16) of the outer frame (14) and cooling the ice compartment (10) by circulating a refrigerant supplied from a refrigeration system (46);
and
a water tray (40) openably closing the ice compartment (10) from under to supply ice-making water to each of the corresponding small ice compartments (12),
wherein an electroless nickel-phosphorus plated coating (23) is applied to the ice compartment (10) including the partition member (30) and the outer frame (14).
