Variator for work vehicle drivetrain

A variator assembly, comprising:

• a variator motor;
• and
• a variator gearbox, comprising:
• a gearbox housing to which the variator motor is mounted;
• a variator input shaft extending in the variator gearbox housing and rotatable with respect thereto about a primary power path axis;
• and
• a planetary gear system disposed within the variator gearbox housing, mechanically coupled to the variator motor and to the variator input shaft, and rotatable about a planetary axis substantially parallel to and offset from the primary power path axis.

A variator gearbox, comprising:

• a gearbox housing;
• a variator input shaft extending in the variator gearbox housing and rotatable with respect thereto about a primary power path axis;
• and
• a planetary gear system disposed within the variator gearbox housing and rotatable about a planetary axis substantially parallel to and offset from the primary power path axis.
