Lighting apparatus for vehicles

A lighting apparatus for vehicles, the light source comprising:

• a light source unit including at least a first and a second light source;
• and
• optical equipment for generating a specified signal light distribution to provide a specified signal function, said the optical equipment including:
• at least two optical units, where:
• a first optical unit for deflecting a first light beam emitted by the first light source generates a specified signal light distribution and
• a second optical unit, which includes a hologram element, deflects a second light beam generated by the second light source to create a holographic light image;
• wherein the specified signal function consists of the signal light distribution and the holographic light image spaced at a distance therefrom.
