Liquid discharge head using discharge energy generation elements

A liquid discharge head comprising:

• first and second recording element substrates, each including discharge ports for discharging liquid and energy generation elements for generating energy for use in discharging liquid, and arranged along a longitudinal direction of the liquid discharge head;
• and
• a supporting member configured to support the first and second recording element substrates,
• wherein the supporting member includes a first supporting portion, which is a portion on a side, in a thickness direction of the supporting member, where the first and second recording element substrates are provided, and a second supporting portion, which is a portion on an opposite side of the first supporting portion,
• wherein the first supporting portion includes a first individual flow path for supplying liquid to the first recording element substrate, and a second individual flow path for supplying liquid to the second recording element substrate, and
• wherein the second supporting portion includes a common flow path for supplying liquid to the first and second individual flow paths.
