Abstract
Disclosed are compressed tablets containing atazanavir sulfate and an acidifying agent, optionally with another active agent, e.g., anti-HIV agents, and optionally with precipitation retardant agents. Also disclosed are processes for making the tablets, and methods of treating HIV.
Claims12
A compressed tablet comprising atazanavir sulfate and an acidifying agent selected from citric acid, tartaric acid, fumaric acid, ascorbic acid and mixtures thereof.
A compressed tablet comprising atazanavir sulphate, cobicistat, an acidifying agent and a precipitation retardant agent.
A compressed tablet comprising atazanavir sulphate, cobicistat, an acidifying agent selected from citric acid, tartaric acid, fumaric acid, ascorbic acid and mixtures thereof and a precipitation retardation agent selected from polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyvinylpyrrolidone-vinyl acetate, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hydoxypropyl methylcellulose, and hydroxypropylmethylcellulose acetate succinate and mixtures thereof, wherein the acidifying agent is present in an amount of 10-30 w/w % and the precipitation retardation agent is present in an amount of 1-5 w/w %.
