A composition comprising:
- (a) live Prevotella histicola, dead Prevotella histicola, or a culture supernatant of a Prevotella histicola culture,
- (b) a buffer, a radical scavenger, an antioxidant, a reducing agent, or a mixture thereof, and
- (c) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier,
- wherein said composition is in the form of a pill, a tablet, a powder, a liquid, or a capsule.
