Abstract
A tricuspid insufficiency treatment device includes a vena cava member (12) implantable in a vena cava of a patient. The vena cava member (12) is formed with a fenestration (14) and further includes a blocking member (16) arranged to block and unblock the fenestration (14).
Claims16
-13. (canceled)
A tricuspid insufficiency treatment device comprising:
- a tubular member configured for implantation within a vena cava of a patient, the tubular member being formed with at least one fenestration in a side wall thereof;
- and
- at least one blocking member arranged to block and unblock the at least one fenestration during ventricular systole and ventricular diastole, respectively,
- wherein:
- the tubular member and the at least one blocking member together form a closed cylindrical outer shape during ventricular systole.

A tricuspid insufficiency treatment device comprising:
- a tubular member comprising an expandable stent body having diverging stent graft ends at least partially covered by graft material, the tubular member configured for implantation within a vena cava of a patient and formed with a single fenestration in a side wall thereof;
- and
- a single blocking member comprising a flap or cover pivotally attached to the fenestration and arranged to block and unblock the fenestration during ventricular systole and ventricular diastole, respectively,
- wherein:
- at least a first portion of a perimeter of the blocking member is attached to a corresponding first portion of a perimeter of the fenestration such that the remainder of the perimeter of the blocking member is unattached to the remainder of the perimeter of the fenestration,
- the blocking member is configured to allow blood to flow through the fenestration via an opening formed by the unattached perimeter of the blocking member relative to the remainder of the perimeter of the fenestration during ventricular diastole,
- the opening faces in a direction of an orifice of an inferior vena cava of the patient, and
- the tubular member and the at least one blocking member together form a closed cylindrical outer shape during ventricular systole.
