Abstract
A surgical retractor includes a blade and a handle. The blade has a top surface and a bottom surface. The handle extends at an angle from a proximal end of the blade. In one exemplary aspect, the retractor has one or more slip-resistant patterns molded into the blade, in order to prevent slippage of the retractor against patient tissue.
Claims30
An illuminated surgical retractor, comprising:
- a blade having a top surface and a bottom surface;
- and
- a handle extending at an angle from a proximal end of the blade;
- wherein the blade and handle are molded from a glass-fiber reinforced polymer, and
- wherein at least a portion of the bottom surface of the blade comprises an in-molded non-slip pattern,
