Abstract
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to bandwidth and primary channel indication. A device may encode an extended directional multi-gigabit (EDMG) field with one or more indications of a primary channel ID, a bandwidth value, or a channel ID for transmission over a wireless communication channel associated with the channel ID. The device may cause the EDMG field to be wirelessly transmitted to a first device over the wireless communication channel.
Claims20
A device, the device comprising memory and processing circuitry, configured to:
- encode an extended directional multi-gigabit (EDMG) field with one or more indications of a primary channel ID, a bandwidth value, or a channel ID for transmission over a wireless communication channel associated with the channel ID;
- and
- cause the EDMG field to be wirelessly transmitted to a first device over the wireless communication channel.
The device of claim 10, further comprising one or more antennas coupled to the transceiver.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer-executable instructions which when executed by one or more processors result in performing operations comprising:
- identifying an extended directional multi-gigabit (EDMG) field received from a device on a wireless communication channel;
- identifying one or more indications associated with at least one of a primary channel ID, a bandwidth value, or a channel ID;
- and
- causing to send one or more frames to the device based at least in part on the one or more indications.
A method comprising:
- encoding, by one or more processors, an extended directional multi-gigabit (EDMG) field with one or more indications of a primary channel ID, a bandwidth value, or a channel ID for transmission over a wireless communication channel associated with the channel ID;
- and
- causing the EDMG field to be wirelessly transmitted to a first device over the wireless communication channel.
