Scheduling video content from multiple sources for presentation via a streaming video channel

An apparatus comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations including:
• analyzing, by the processor, a streaming schedule of a streaming video channel for one or more gaps of time in which no content is scheduled for streaming and for one or more content identifiers;
• and
• streaming supplemental content to fill the one or more gaps of time, the supplemental content determined based on the one or more content identifiers.

A computer-readable storage device storing instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations including:

• receiving, at a first time, a search term at a computing device coupled to a first content source storing first video content, the search term related to metadata of the first video content, wherein the first video content is associated with a first user device;
• analyzing, by the processor, a streaming schedule of a streaming video channel for one or more gaps of time in which no content is scheduled for streaming and for one or more content identifiers;
• and
• streaming supplemental content during the one or more gaps of time, the supplemental content determined based on the user input, the one or more content identifiers, or a combination thereof.
