Abstract
The electrical connections of a chamber or enclosure for a water tub can be protected through the use of spill element sensors. The spill element sensors can help to disable the delivery of power to the heater of a water tub in the event that the electrical connections become wet.

A method of controlling operation of a humidification system, the method comprising:
- detecting presence of a liquid in a base unit;
- transmitting a signal to a control module of the humidification system in response to the detection of the presence of the liquid;
- controlling power supplied to a heating element of the humidification system;
- and
- displaying a message in response to the detection.
