Water injector nozzle

An apparatus, comprising:

• a cylindrical body having a longitudinal axis extending between a first end and a second end, the cylindrical body having a flowpath configured to direct the fluid to an opening at the first end;
• a spray head disposed inside of and moveable relative to the opening at the first end to modulate fluid from the flowpath out of the cylindrical body;
• and
• an engagement portion circumscribing the cylindrical body and having a diameter that is larger than the diameter of the cylindrical body, the engagement portion forming openings to the flowpath that are set in longitudinally from both the first end and the second end.

A fluid injection system, comprising:

• a housing mountable to a pipe, the housing comprising a first housing and a second housing that couples with the first housing, the first housing comprising an inlet and an outlet for fluid to enter and exit the housing, respectively;
• and
• an injector assembly disposed in the first housing, the injector assembly comprising:
• a cylindrical body having a longitudinal axis extending between a first end and a second end, the cylindrical body having a flowpath configured to direct fluid to an opening at the first end that resides proximate the outlet of the first housing;
• a spray head disposed inside of and moveable relative to the opening at the first end to modulate fluid from the flowpath out of the cylindrical body to the outlet of the first housing;
• and
• an engagement portion circumscribing the cylindrical body and configured to engage with the first housing to create a sealed region that bounds the inlet, the engagement portion having a diameter that is larger than the diameter of the cylindrical body in the sealed region, the engagement portion forming openings to the flowpath that reside in the sealed region.
