Method and device for controlling a vector processor

A controller for controlling a vector processor for jointly processing signals to be transmitted over, or received from, a group of vectored lines, and configured with a current set of vectoring coefficients, the controller comprising:

• a configuring module configured to temporarily configure the vector processor with a new set of vectoring coefficients during one or more selected symbol positions, and for restoring the current set of vectoring coefficients outside the one or more selected symbol positions;
• an obtaining module configured to obtain at least one error measure over respectively at least one line of the group during the one or more selected symbol positions;
• and
• a determining module configured to determine a suitability indication for the new set of vectoring coefficients based on the obtained at least one error measure.
