Rail seal for electronic equipment enclosure

An electronic equipment enclosure comprising:

• a frame structure comprised of:
• a pair of front vertical support posts connected together by a plurality of horizontal front cross members to define a front frame,
• a pair of rear vertical support posts connected together by a plurality of horizontal rear cross members to define a rear frame, and
• a plurality of horizontal side cross members connecting the front frame to the rear frame;
• one or more panels mounted on the frame structure, the frame structure and the one or more panels together defining an enclosed space for electronic equipment;
• at least one separate mounting rail, oriented vertically and mounted within the enclosed space to at least upper and lower ones of the plurality of horizontal side cross members of the frame structure, the at least one separate mounting rail having a generally uniform cross-sectional shape and including:
• a fastening portion that interfaces with the at least upper and lower ones of the plurality of horizontal side cross members of the frame structure, and
• at least one support portion extending from the fastening portion and including at least one keyhole-shaped opening disposed adjacent to a slotted opening;
• and
• a first cable management accessory including a keyhole boss and an alignment tab;
• wherein the alignment tab of the first cable management accessory is received within the slotted opening of the at least one support portion;
• and
• wherein the keyhole boss of the first cable management accessory is received, via snap-fit, within the at least one keyhole-shaped opening, thereby securing the first cable management accessory to the at least one separate mounting rail without a separate fastener.

An electronic equipment enclosure comprising:

• a frame structure comprised of:
• a pair of front vertical support posts connected together by a plurality of horizontal front cross members to define a front frame,
• a pair of rear vertical support posts connected together by a plurality of horizontal rear cross members to define a rear frame, and
• a plurality of horizontal side cross members connecting the front frame to the rear frame;
• at least one separate mounting rail, oriented vertically and mounted within the enclosed space to at least upper and lower ones of the plurality of horizontal side cross members of the frame structure, the at least one separate mounting rail having a generally uniform cross-sectional shape and including:
• a fastening portion that interfaces with the at least upper and lower ones of the plurality of horizontal side cross members of the frame structure,
• a first support portion extending from the fastening portion,
• a second support portion extending from and oriented generally perpendicular to the first support portion, and
• a third support portion extending from and oriented generally perpendicular to the second support portion,
• wherein each of the first, second and third support portions includes one or more openings;
• and
• a first cable management accessory having a boss received, via snap-fit, within one of the one or more openings of the first, second or third support portions, thereby securing the first cable management accessory to the at least one separate mounting rail without a separate fastener.
