Apparatus and method for controlling auto focus function in electronic device

A method comprising:

• recording, using a camera included in an electronic device, video data;
• receiving, using one or more processors of the electronic device, a request during the recording to change a focus of an automatic focus function, the request being a touch input selecting an object or a region in a frame of the video data;
• and
• recording the video data with the automatic focus function activated in response to the request such that a focus is automatically adjusted with respect to the selected object or the selected region.

A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, causes the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

• recording, using a camera included in an electronic device, video data;
• receiving, during the recording, a request to change a focus of an automatic focus function, the request being a touch input selecting an object or a region in the frame of the video data;
• and
• recording, in response to the request, the video data with the automatic focus function activated such that a focus is automatically adjusted with respect to the selected object or the selected region.
