Method of measuring interference

An apparatus for supporting measurement of channel status information related to neighboring cells, the apparatus comprising:

• a transceiver;
• and
• a processor operatively connected to the transceiver,
• wherein the processor controls the transceiver to:
• measure interferences using one or more null signals at a specific subframe identified by a specific subframe index;
• measure channel quality information (CQI) based on the measured interferences;
• and
• feedback the CQI to a base station,
• wherein the one or more null signals are allocated to one or more resource elements in the specific subframe of the one or more subframes of the single frame,
• wherein each subframe of the single frame includes only one control region and only one data region,
• wherein the one or more resource elements exist only in the data region of the specific subframe,
• wherein the one or more resource elements correspond to resource elements to which reference signals of at least one of the neighboring cells are allocated,
• wherein the control region is configured within first three Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols of the subframe,
• wherein each subframe of the single frame consists of 14 OFDM symbols, and
• wherein an allocation or non-allocation of the null signals is determined according to the specific subframe index identifying the specific subframe of the single frame.
