Abstract
Various examples relate to the configuration of enterprise workspaces that can be provided in computing devices. In some examples, a computing device is enrolled with a management service that controls operating of at least a portion of the computing device. A management component creates a user account with a distributor of the operating system based on an email address and a password. The user account is associated with an enterprise workspace of the computing device.
Claims20
A system, comprising:
- a computing device comprising an operating system that provides a personal workspace and an enterprise workspace;
- a storage device storing a plurality of computer instructions executable by the computing device, wherein the plurality of computer instructions cause the computing device to at least:
- enroll the computing device with a management service that controls operation of at least a portion of the computing device;
- cause the management service to create a user account with a distributor of the operating system based on an email address and a password;
- automatically populate an email address field in a workspace configuration user interface;
- and
- associate the user account with the enterprise workspace of the computing device.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a plurality of computer instructions executable by a computing device, wherein the plurality of computer instructions cause the computing device to at least:
- enroll the computing device with a management service that controls operation of at least a portion of the computing device;
- cause the management service to create a user account with a distributor of an operating system for the computing device based on an email address and a password;
- automatically populate an email address field in a workspace configuration user interface;
- and
- associate the user account for the distributor of the operating system with an enterprise workspace of the computing device.
A method, comprising:
- enrolling a computing device with a management service that controls operation of at least a portion of the computing device;
- causing a management service to create a user account with a distributor of an operating system for the computing device based on an email address and a password;
- automatically populating an email address field in a workspace configuration user interface without obtaining an input in the email address field from a user;
- and
- associating the user account with an enterprise workspace of the computing device.
