Abstract
An external centrifugal fan and drive end frame for use in an air cooled alternator are provided. Also provided is a vented pulley.

An alternator fan comprising a central hub connected by two or more ribs to a generally annular-shaped disc having a plurality of blades, wherein each blade of said plurality of blades extends from an inner edge of the annular-shaped disc to the peripheral edge.
