Abstract
A digital image processing circuit processes macro-pixels of a digital image. A gain control parameter of each pixel of the macro-pixel of the digital image is determined based on a location of the pixel in the digital image. Relative pixel positions of the pixels of the macro-pixel are determined, the relative pixel positions representing pixel positions with respect to color grids. A gain value of each pixel of the macro-pixel is determined based on the relative pixel positions. The gain values are modified based on the gain control parameters. The modified gains are applied to the pixels of the macro-pixel.
Claims26
A method, comprising:
- determining, using digital image processing circuitry, a gain control parameter of each pixel of a macro-pixel of a digital image based on a location of the pixel in the digital image;
- determining, using the digital image processing circuitry, relative pixel positions of the pixels of the macro-pixel, the relative pixel positions representing pixel positions with respect to color grids;
- determining, using the digital image processing circuitry, a gain value of each pixel of the macro-pixel based on the determined relative pixel positions;
- modifying, using the digital image processing circuitry, the determined gain value of each pixel of the macro-pixel based on the determined gain control parameter of the pixel;
- and
- applying to each pixel of the macro-pixel, using the digital image processing circuitry, the modified gain value of the pixel.
A device, comprising:
- an input configured to receive a macro-pixel of a digital image;
- and
- digital image processing circuitry, which, in operation:
- determines a gain control parameter of each pixel of a macro-pixel of a digital image based on a location of the pixel in the digital image;
- determines relative pixel positions of the pixels of the macro-pixel, the relative pixel positions representing pixel positions with respect to color grids;
- determines a gain value of each pixel of the macro-pixel based on the determined relative pixel positions;
- modifies the determined gain value of each pixel of the macro-pixel based on the determined gain control parameter of the pixel;
- and
- applies, to each pixel of the macro-pixel, the modified gain value of the pixel.
A system, comprising:
- one or more image sensors;
- and
- digital image processing circuitry, which, in operation:
- determines a gain control parameter of each pixel of a macro-pixel of a digital image based on a location of the pixel in the digital image;
- determines relative pixel positions of the pixels of the macro-pixel, the relative pixel positions representing pixel positions with respect to color grids;
- determines a gain value of each pixel of the macro-pixel based on the determined relative pixel positions;
- modifies the determined gain value of each pixel of the macro-pixel based on the determined gain control parameter of the pixel;
- and
- applies, to each pixel of the macro-pixel, the modified gain value of the pixel.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium having contents which cause digital image processing circuitry to perform a method, the method comprising:
- determining a gain control parameter of each pixel of a macro-pixel of a digital image based on a location of the pixel in the digital image;
- determining relative pixel positions of the pixels of the macro-pixel, the relative pixel positions representing pixel positions with respect to color grids;
- determining a gain value of each pixel of the macro-pixel based on the determined relative pixel positions;
- modifying the determined gain value of each pixel of the macro-pixel based on the determined gain control parameter of the pixel;
- and
- applying, to each pixel of the macro-pixel, the modified gain value of the pixel.
