Providing personalized dietary recommendations

A system comprising:

• a memory device;
• and
• a recommendation engine comprising one or more processors, the recommendation engine configured to:
• access data for a plurality of health-related parameters of an individual;
• identify a set of one or more out-of-range parameters from the plurality of health-related parameters;
• identify one or more food items from a database of food items, such that the identified food items are related to improving the corresponding levels of the one or more out-of-range parameters;
• and
• display the identified food items as a dietary recommendation on a user interface presented on a display device.

A non-transitory computer readable storage device having encoded thereon computer readable instructions, which when executed, cause one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

• accessing, by one or more processors, data for a plurality of health-related parameters of an individual;
• identifying, by the one or more processors, a set of one or more out-of-range parameters from the plurality of health-related parameters;
• identifying one or more food items from a database of food items, such that the identified food items are related to improving the corresponding levels of the one or more out-of-range parameters;
• and
• displaying the identified food items as a dietary recommendation on a user interface presented on a display device.
