Abstract
A method is provided for relaxing register constraints in a computer program. The method includes identifying, by a processor enabled compiler, unrequired register constraints imposed by a user on the computer program. The unrequired register constraints are unrequired for a proper operation of the computer program. The method further includes automatically relaxing, by the processor enabled compiler, the identified unrequired register constraints to optimize register allocation for the computer program.
Claims20
A method for relaxing register constraints in a computer program, the method comprising:
- identifying, by a processor enabled compiler, unrequired register constraints imposed by a user on the computer program, the unrequired register constraints being unrequired for a proper operation of the computer program;
- and
- automatically relaxing, by the processor enabled compiler, the identified unrequired register constraints to optimize register allocation for the computer program.
A computer program product for relaxing register constraints in a computer program, the computer program product comprising a non-transitory computer readable storage medium having program instructions embodied therewith, the program instructions being executable by a computer to cause the computer to perform a method comprising:
- identifying, by a processor enabled compiler, unrequired register constraints imposed by a user on the computer program, the unrequired register constraints being unrequired for a proper operation of the computer program;
- and
- automatically relaxing, by the processor enabled compiler, the identified unrequired register constraints to optimize register allocation for the computer program.
