Host applications of modular assembly system

A method for providing host instructions to a control module of a modular assembly system comprising a plurality of assembly modules, the method comprising:

• presenting, to a user, a graphical user interface (GUI) comprising a first set of GUI elements and a second set of GUI elements, wherein
• the first set of GUI elements allow the user to interactively control operation of the modular assembly system at runtime wren the modular assembly system is on operation, and
• the second set of GUI elements allow the user to designate a function corresponding to the modular assembly system;
• facilitating the user to select one of the first and second sets of GUI elements;
• in response to the user selecting the first set of GUI elements, dynamically generating a first set of host instructions based on at least the user's interactions with the first set of GUI elements for controlling the operation of the modular assembly system at runtime, and transmitting the generated first set of host instructions to the control module of the modular assembly system at runtime when the modular assembly system is on operation;
• and
• in response to the user selecting the second set of GUI elements, obtaining a second set of host instructions based on at least the function designated by the user, and transmitting the obtained second set of host instructions to the control module of the modular assembly system prior to the modular assembly system performs the function designated by the user,
• wherein at least one of the presenting, facilitating, generating, transmitting, obtaining, and transmitting is performed by a host of the modular assembly system.
