A patient interface configured to sealingly engage a patient's face to deliver pressurized gas to the patient's airways, the patient interface comprising:
- a vent with an air-permeable porous portion having an entry surface and an exit surface, the entry surface being formed of or coated with a hydrophobic material or hydrophilic material and the exit surface being formed of or coated with the other of the hydrophobic material and the hydrophilic material.
The patient interface of claim 1 further comprising:
- a cushion configured to engage the patient's face;
- and
- a shell that supports the cushion and forms a breathing cavity with the cushion,
- wherein the vent is in communication with the breathing cavity.
A patient interface configured to sealingly engage a patient's face to deliver pressurized gas to the patient's airways, the port comprising:
- a port with an air-permeable porous portion having an entry surface and an exit surface, the entry surface being formed of or coated with a hydrophobic material or hydrophilic material and the exit surface being formed of or coated with the other of the hydrophobic material and the hydrophilic material.
