Abstract
The present invention relates to the cosmetic or pharmaceutical use for a composition comprising a salicylic or nicotinic acid derivative inhibiting chemokines, for preventing or treating chronic internal and/or external inflammatory conditions.

A method for treating inflammatory diseases of the human or animal skin in an individual, comprising administering to the individual a dermocosmetic or pharmaceutical composition comprising, in an acceptable vehicle, an effective amount of at least one active agent constituted by a compound having the following general formula (I):
- wherein:
- X represents a —CH— group or a nitrogen atom;
- R represents a (C1-C6) alkyl, a (C3-C6) cycloalkyl group, wherein one or more —CH2— groups may be replaced by —O— or may be substituted by one or more radicals selected from (C1-C6) alkyl, hydroxy or alkoxy radicals, said compound of formula (I) may be in the form of a basic or acid addition salt.
A method for inhibiting at least one chemokine of the human or animal skin in an individual, comprising administering to the individual a dermocosmetic of pharmaceutical composition comprising, in an acceptable vehicle, an effective amount of at least one active agent constituted by a compound having the following general formula (I):

- X represents a —CH— group or a nitrogen atom;
